Yash Paz is a composer based in New York City.
After spending five years studying in The Juilliard School’s Precollege Division as a composition major under Ira Taxin, Yash is now studying under Justin Dello Joio at New York University.
Yash also studies the piano with Eduardus Halim, formerly studying with Elisha Abas, and has performed many piano repertoires including his own solo compositions.

Recently, Yash won the 2023 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award for his solo piano piece On the Threshold.
He has won multiple awards and recognitions for his original compositions in the past.
In 2016 he was the winner of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra’s (ASO) Elgar Enigma composer competition K-8 category.
In 2017 he was the winner of the ASO Pictures at an Exhibition composer competition in the High School category.
Yash won 2nd place in the Salomé Young Artist Grace D. Carpenter competition in 2017.
He was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2019 Tribeca New Music Young Composer Competition.
He was also a finalist in 2018 and awarded an Honorable Mention in 2021 for the ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Competition.
